Temper is controlling your mood/emotions, or at least your reactions to them. Anger may be the chief problem among temper, thus in most need of correction.

You might do it in about forty-eight hours, but go the second time. After you’ve done that about half a dozen times, you’ll change your behaviour, because apologizing makes old flesh burn.” (1)
